THE HAGUE SYSTEM

In 2013, Brunei Darussalam acceded to the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs, therefore allowing  protection of an Industrial Design in multiple countries by filing an international application via The Hague System route. It is also administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a specialized agency of the United Nations.

The Hague System is a one-stop solution for registering and managing Industrial Designs in different countries all at once.

By filing one application, in one language with one set of fees, design owners can see protection in more than 80 countries.

The Industrial Design owners may visit www.wipo.int/hague or contact Brunei Intellectual Property Office to find out on how to protect the designs internationally.
